Re: question about allesandro caps and dlite turret board
off topic, but just curious why do you prefer eyelets?Normster wrote:Yes. The chassis is 2.5" tall so no problems. Many of our original prototypes were turret board construction, but I prefer working with eyelets.dragonbat13 wrote:Will a turret board with double turrets fit in a brownnote dlite chassis?

What is the sound difference?jelle wrote:Thanks for the spreadsheet! Great idea!
BTW I use the RGP 30M diode and the sound difference between those and in4007's is very big. Just my two cents...

Re: Hybrid Rev-A parts list with mouser codes
Looks to me like somebody should figure out why FREDs are good, figure out the current and voltage requirements, choose the best part. In other words, engineering. I am not going to get into the FRED good/bad argument. Although, if Randall Aiken uses something there is always good engineering behin...

Re: Hybrid Rev-A parts list with mouser codes
Are those FRED's superior to: UF4007CT-ND ? Good point, the Fairchild's seem to be a favorite of many folks, and they are cheaper, even allowing that you may want to use more of them. They are faster, if it makes a difference. The others do have a 3 amp rating, which may make you feel good if you a...

Re: PC Board Layouts
Thanks, I get a PM every now and then from folks who bought a set of boards and can't figure them out, so I thought I'd help. The relay boards and the HRM should be pretty self explanatory, but if anyone needs them I can post them, just say the word. Hey Funk, these and any other board pics are hel...

Re: Hybrid Rev-A parts list with mouser codes
I saw the Diode thing too. I updated the sheet so my order will reflect a couple of types
Diodes
FR307 583-FR307G 8 @0.82 total 6.56 3 amp FREDS like Randall Aiken uses
1N4007 75-515D350V47 10 @0.136 total 1.36 really need 7, but price break at 10

Re: NEW CHASSIS RUN!!
I just got a set of Funk trannies & choke.
The look good and the specs are good. Plus, if I am not mistaken, the set has been proven a few times in Funk's own build. Hopefully I will hear how they sound soon.

Re: NEW CHASSIS RUN!!
If you want, or I can point you in the right place. Funk, either way is fine with me. I think I read somewhere you had some good ones, with plenty of heater current, good voltage and impedance taps, good steel. I am certainly not adverse to putting a few $$$ in your pocket for "R&D" costs - saves m...
