Thanks so much for the replies.
I did get a response back from Mercury Magnets. They have a equivalent part, it's just not on their web site.
It was originally made by Drake.

Re: AC15TBX - Cage and Reverb
Long delay in responding I know......
It looks like the reverb transformer is bad. It is Vox # 30A-25. Does anyone know if there is a cross reference to this?
I can't seem to find anything on line.
Cheers, Mike

Re: Low Frequency spitting
This is a combo unit although I've removed the chassis and have the same issue I will try a sine wave approach and poke around a bit. It is more apparent at higher volume levels I plugged a bass guitar into it just to see and it was much worse. I am not over driving the amp, just moderate to loud le...

Low Frequency spitting
Hey All, I didn't know where else to post this. I have an Orange Rocker 30 Amp. I has developed a spitting, non-harmonic distortion when I play low notes on the guitar. This occurs on both channels. I've changed out tubes and tried a different speaker with the same results. The amp is 19 years old I...

Re: AC15TBX - Cage and Reverb
Very nice trouble shooting tips..... At this point I think that it must be the the reverb transformer. Plug RCA cable into return jack, turn up volume, touch tip. Do you have buzz ? If the return works, plug in the output of the pan. Shake pan. If you get clank, output of pan is good. Switch pan wir...

Re: AC15TBX - Cage and Reverb
The reverb measures 75 ohms (DC resistance) at input.
If I turn the reverb all the way up I just hear the slightest amount, at halfway up, nothing. If I shake the tank, I hear the reverb string 'thunder'
Cheers, Mike

AC15TBX - Cage and Reverb
Hey All, I just picked up a sweet 90's era VOXAC15TBX. I have a couple of questions maybe the group can help with. It has a 'cage' that fits over all of the tubes. The bodies of the tubes are right against the sides of the cage. Is this thing really necessary? Other than the fact that it may shield ...

Function of Input Capacitor on Orange Rocker 30
Hey All,
Here is a portion of a schematic for an Orange Rocker 30. It seems unusual that there is a capacitor (C27, 0.22uF) at the input. Can anyone tell me what that does?
Is it acting as a highpass filter?

Mounting Chassis - Nut
Hey All,
I have managed to break the floating 'nut' used to mount the chassis in the head shell. Can anyone provide a part number for this?

Relay and FET Board Issue
Hey All, It's been quite a while since I've checked in here. I had built a 100W ODS style amp using the great information on this board and from Brandon (Bludutone) in 2007. I haven't played it in many years but I just found (and bought) a combo cabinet complete with an EV speaker. I decided to swap...

Huge Pop when turning on amp
Hey All, I have a 183 version that I built about 6 years ago. I haven't played through it much for the past two years. If I turn on the power and standby switches together, I get a very loud 'static' noise for about 1 second. This happens about 5 seconds after I've switched it on. If I turn only the...

Re: Bad Relay?
Paul, I agree about the relay sockets. I think I will replace both boards and get new relays and sockets for them. I did check out the effects loop and it is solid. I've tapped all around the boards and leads in and out of the pots with little noise. Tapping on the relay gives a good 'thunk' Cheers,...
