Re: Oscillation action shots!
I've never tried a weber MASS, but I'd be curious to see if the same behavior appears with a pure resistive load.

Re: Pedal Amp Design
remember both require Log/Audio pots, but the beauty is that "setting them to 5" guarantees flat sound, also both provide smooth and symmetrical bass or theble boost and cut ... which simply does not happen with Msh/Fen/Vox tone control types. The idea is to start flat, set playing level with the b...

Re: Deluxe reverb build problems...could use some help.
To this day whenever I am installing 1/2 watt or less resistors I always confirm the value first with my ohm meter, and my eyes for being 59 are still dam good! That extra 4 seconds can end up saving you 4 hours or more of beating yourself up and possible buying a bunch of new parts that in the end...

You can use the 240v primary to reduce the voltage a little.

Re: Voltage selection switch
The few universal transformers I've seen can't select all voltages using a single-pole switch.

I'd like to understand the reasoning behind that statement.Stevem wrote: and playing thru 2 speakers compared to just 1 will near double the sound output level where as if you wanted to do such with wattage you would need near 10 times the wattage!!

Again, what is the taper of the volume pot? If it is linear, use an audio pot instead.Ranalog wrote:I can't up of 9 oclock in the volume when I put the Gain at 11-12 oclock.
I want less volume at 9 oclock in the volume control

Re: Oscillation in clone Ampeg B15N
I'd first disconnect the NFB to see if it's the cause. That's easier than swapping the wires, which might not even be necessary.

Re: Distilled Dumble
That looks pretty close to what Iwant....I'm assuming that amp runs 2x6V6's?. Any one build one? I've got two, one I built 7 years ago, another one I'll finish one of these days. Kits, from Brown Note. If built with deluxe size transformers, 22 watts with 6V6. Mine have bigger transformers, 44 watt...

Re: New EF86 Special build
I was feeling all proud of myself for coming up with the relay "stick", only to discover that Mojo and SkipzCircuits already have them available. The SkipzCircuits is especially cool with 2 channels of FET switching on a tiny board. The Skipz CHSW only does one DPDT relay, yours does two. I didn't ...

Re: Analog meters
Robert would you like to explain. its a one direction meter. its says FS - 10 rect. on the box. and its old its a honeywell model 45t. i tried to look it up but didnt find any thing. There are several ways to make an AC meter without rectification. One method I found replaces the permanent magnets ...

Re: Analog meters
Well, I can't see any rectifier in there, and it looks just like any moving-coil meter, so I would guess it is actually a DC meter and needs an external bridge rectifier to be used with AC: [img:478:385]http://sub.allaboutcircuits.com/images/02225.png[/img] So you can test it the same way as any DC...
