dumble stompbox.
Hello all. First of all, I don't know if it's allowed or not. Not a problem if this post is going to be deleted. I 'm not connected in any way with the builder i will mention. In this case, I'm just an happy customer and have not direct connection with the builder. I was searching for a dumble sound...

Re: little Blue Amp
Your build is among the best ever seen here. Great attention to the details and excellent craftsmanship. Congrats.
I happen to need the same kind of amplifier as a grab and go thing , so if you are willing to give availability of that pcb, I would be in....
Thanks
Paolo

Re: I'm in trouble with this sound
do yourself a favour and build a simple tool, by using a 100nF 630V capacitor. Solder a wire to one of the cap's lead, and stick it to ground of the amp. Get yourself something like a chopstick, and fix the capacitor at the chopstick with electrical tape . Do it so that the remaining lead of the cap...

Re: Turn 5E3 clone into a Deluxe Reverb?
I would suggest to look also at the carmen ghia from dr z. You can get very good cleans from it and this schematic will comply with your requirements in term of preamp stages. Furthermore, with just a 3 position switch you can dial different tone behaviours, that will give a different signature to t...

Re: Non-NOS component choices
Furthermore, I tend to use in some cases ( mostly where I desire to have a dry bass and a chimey high with very fine detail, wirings made in pure silver cable. From https://www.aikenamps.com/index.php/technical-q-a Q: Is there any advantage to using solder with a 2% silver content? A: Yes. Silver s...

Re: Non-NOS component choices
resistors: Dale rn65 (new) , Allen Bradley (NOS) , Royal ohm, Xicon. I've tried also old holco stuff and they are really fine. But almost impossible to source. Capacitors: 715, mallory 150, Xicon MPP; Arcotronics mkp. sometimes also other stuff, like wima or old siemens I have in stock since a long ...

Re: Non-NOS component choices
My personal point of view is not to stick with a certain brand or model of a capacitor, but to test different options in the most critical parts of an amp. In this way I usually stick with 3 or 4 brands of capacitors, 2 or 3 types of signal resistors, and just a couple of electrolytic caps brand. In...

Re: Manzamp!
No doubt on that IC. I have to tell you the truth, all my D Style amps, started from a "certified" design, and at the very end are modified in order to meet my tastes, so actually my own amps are not faithful repros of any kind of typical design. The mods sometimes are heavy, while in other occasion...

Re: Manzamp!
Hello all. I'm starting to build a Manzamp based amp. I'm really curious to investigate this sort of natural compression that is really evident in the sample that IC Racer ( many thanks man!!) has posted. Regarding the inductor, I' m trying to understand something more. If I give a look at the specs...

Re: Most versatile D-style amp with Reverb and FX loop?
I have built professionally amps and among them A lot of D clones and inspired amps. Now I don't do it professionally, but just as a Hobby. I own a few d styled amps, made by myself, and heavily modified Fuchs ods ( just the badge name is standard) that IMO is the best amplifier that I, and a few fe...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout
So Guys, many thanks for sharing your experience. And Norburybrook, I've heard your samples and they sound really nice to my ears. So I think I'll choose the High Voltage choice as it seems that the amp it's not going to be harsh at all. And I'll be using 335 style and archtop too. Thanks again and ...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout
Good afternoon all! I'm in the middle of completing a Wonderland amp ( Thanks a lot Amplifiednation!!) and I need to choose the power transformer. I never had the opportunity to give a try to the original two rock amp, so I would like to ask for your opinion. I already have in house a twin style iro...
