A good lesson to learn from this experience is to do one mode at a time and check it, then go to the next. Never five mods at once, it's harder to find an error.
Enjoy.

Re: Vox ac30cc2 mod volume loss
Hi Guitarlos, first of all it would be good to publish the schematic, it makes it easier for us. Check the operating voltages, if ok, I would suspect you could of messed up something aroud the effect loop. Normally, effect loops interrupt the signal coming out of the pre and into the power section (...

Re: Ceriatone HRM 50 Build - HELP NEEDED!!!
Hi Nuge, here is a voltage listing from Ceriatone. It's for an OTS (Non-HRM) but it shouldn't matter.

Re: Dumble Overdrive Special to be reviewed in Premier Guitar
Thank you Bryan for your time and effort in taking and showing us these pictures.
OTOH, I have a gut feeling the amp will be asking for a cap job soon (see image).
Will be looking for that report Bryan, thanks again.

Re: Fargen Blackbird on the bench
Thank you tubeswell, I have seen the use of DC heaters on a few amps but only on the pre, never on the power tubes.
May we conclude that as long as the wire pair is really close together they will cansel out the EMF? If so, no need for twisting then?
Thanks again.

Re: Fargen Blackbird on the bench
I certainly don't qualify to challenge the twisting of filament wires, I do it myself. But I have always wondered how on printed circuit boards, the traces are not twisted, yet there doesn't seem to be any issues. Can anyone explain?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.
Yes Martin, here is a picture with a 12AX7 in front of it for comparison. It's very unique! Dobbhill, I concur with you 100%. Fender engineers should lurk around here, I am sure they could learn a thing or two from you guys. Thanks for the kind words! Xtian, regarding the hum, yes, I should try all ...

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.
Build update. I have not kept my promise and I am a few days late but I had a few more important things to do. Anyhow here is the report. The amp has been built (images attached). No smoke. Upon fire-up I could hear my signal generator but the amp sounded horrible, found the problem quickly (misplac...

Re: Has anyone done a Fender Hot Rod conversion?
Tony, regarding your preamp and comparing it to the Ethos, it's only $150.00 more. And the Ethos is a solid state emulator with no EFX buffer. A lot of bang for the buck!
Is the buffer solid state or tube?
Have a good weekend.

Re: Can resistor substitute for a speaker to get desired Ohmage
If you can get a 100W (or 50W) 8 ohm resistor in Serbia, you are lucky, I can't get them here, everything guitar amp related must be shipped in! :) While on the subject, how about an old (in working order) 8 ohm and over 50 watt speaker with the cone stripped out, wouldn't that work? That would be a...
