Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.

Thank you Fire. The Hammond specs for that series says they are tested up to 1500 volts, but the specs for the 156M rates it at 400v.

http://www.hammondmfg.com/153.htm

Do you think it can handle the 500 volts it will be operating under?

Thanks.

Re: major DC coming through Marshall cathode follower? help

When you get readings of this sort, I would suspect a bad meter. Could be wrong though!

Cheers.

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.

@ Firestorm: Thank you for your comments. Will further study your suggestions ( I can't make electronic evaluations as fast as you!). Intentionally, I didn't want to deviate too far off on the PS from the original Garnet G250TR schematic, for that meant I had to recalculate the dropping resistor val...

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.

Gentlemen, posted in the first layout for your review. Particular attention to the Tone Stack please, notice how I have inverted the input to the Bass pot, this may or may not be correct. Also important to check the wiring on the EFX loop. The input cap (,02) into the reverb out of V1 P6, is the ori...

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.

Thank you both (Lou & Martin) for your continued help.

Having a little problem getting the choke ordered (Angela or AES) as they are not stocked items, so I am emailing them to see how I can get this special ordered.

Cheers.

Re: Full wave rectifier versus Half wave rectifier

Hi Decko, what do you want to experiment with? You want to change the rectifier circuit? What are you trying to achieve? Notice with the Hammond sheet I posted, in the case you are using the same voltage tap out of your Power Transformer, the resulting voltage after the diode rectifiers will vary. I...

Re: Full wave rectifier versus Half wave rectifier

Attached is some more info from the Hammond site.

Notice the voltage drop from the different rectifier circuits.

Cheers.

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.

Thank you for your kind response Lou and Martin, very useful indeed. Lou, the EFX in/out circuit has been revised, please confirm its operation on the attached rev.2 schematic. Martin, thank you for the calculations. Since Vk is approximately 27 volts I lowered the voltage value of the bypass capaci...

Re: Paralleled SE, cathode biased questions.

Gentlemen, here are the circuits and major components (data on the attachments) of the amp for your reviews, comments, and suggestions. As per your recommendations will be using a James TS with a KT120. I need confirmation (or alternates) on the James tone stack. Two are shown, I have no way of find...

Absolutely! :D

There was a double purporse. First as a way to thank them, and then to let the forum know about a good (best?) source of Peavey Schematics.

Good weekend to all.

Re: Eric Clapton Dumble - pic included

Did you, by any chance, got a look at the serial number?

Sorry, I see you could not see the back. But maybe you asked?

Thanks for the pict.
