2X12 cabinet wired for 4 and 16 ohm
I have 2 8 ohm speakers in a 2X12 cabinet and wish to wire it for both 4 and 16 ohm loads using a couple of Cliff jacks. Could someone with more knowledge than I look this diagram over and see if my thinking is correct?

Re: Trainwreck express pots
Since this is a Trainwreck buiild with faceplate I would get the Alpha or CTS built and sold by Mojotone they are 10% However, most importantly when building an amp with a faceplate the threaded shafts are 3/8" long so you can bolt them on. Burns pots sold by ApexJr are also 3/8" long threads but b...

Re: Trainwreck express pots
Where can a 10% taper pot be had? Most suppliers don't specify the taper. The volume pot on my express is almost like an ON/OFF switch...

Static in reverb channel of '74 Deluxe Reverb
I have a weird static in the reverb channel of a '74 Deluxe Reverb that I can't seem to track down. Someone else worked on this amp before it came to me and left off the cathode bypass cap for the reverb driver tube. I replaced that cap as well as the 2.2K resistor associated with it, but that didn'...

Re: Fender Express Creation
The flyback diodes in my Express build caused an edgy, fizzy distortion to the overdriven tone. I ended up removing them and all was well.

Re: Cliff PC Jack problem
You're right about flying the leads... there is not room for a cliff jack unless it's a PC jack that I can't source... I could get them from the UK, but I'd have to buy 1000 to get 1 and I don't figure this problem will come up 999 more times. I used a Switchcraft with insulating washers and it work...

Cliff PC Jack problem
I have a single input JCM 800 Lead amp on the bench with a bad input jack. I can't seem to find a source for the Cliff jack that is used on this PC board. The pins that connect to the circuit board on any replacements that I can find are the reverse on the original. In the image below the original i...
