Re: Any one been inside a Komet 19 yet?
I'd like to see some photos. Apparently its all PTP. From what the guys on 18watt and medler says, it's based off the SuperliteTMB, Volume 1 is just relabeled Saturation and it has a Supro Style Tone control. Medler which supro model? I'm looking at modding a Valve JR close to this with a better OT ...

I use these on all my builds and most of my amps on the preamp tubes. Work great. I even use the EL34 ones in my Express Combo.

Allyn,
Is there more clean headroom on this amp when you roll down the guitar volume?

Re: Express with Orange 4x12?
I played my original Express through a new Orange 4x12 and the cab sounded suprisingly good. I normally do not really like vintage 30s though they are better than alot of speakers these days. I guess the extra fatness of the big cab helps to pull the attention away from the normally harsh top of th...

Re: Express with Orange 4x12?
Thanks for all the info guys! Have you all seen these cabs? http://www.groovedogcabs.com In the showcase he has some custom 4x12's he made for Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, they look deep like the Orange dimensions and are made of solid Cypress. So it's really light....and he doesn't use any sc...

Re: Express with Orange 4x12?
Nothing is sexier then an orange 4x12 roosting on top of an orange 6x12 :D The half stack might be gone but the full stack lives on, come on it's ORANGE!!! I'm sure the Trainwreck would sound impressive but so would an early 70's Orange graphic 80 or 120. plug in a Mosrite venture and Oh Baby!!! If...

Re: Express with Orange 4x12?
Well I have a deal for one without speakers for $350 locally. I was going to throw in some warehouse speakers green berets. I need a 4x12 cause the drummer I'm playing with is LOUD and the bassist...even more so. Plus I need to keep up with the 2nd guitarist and my 2x12 Alnico loaded cab doesn't cut...

Express with Orange 4x12?
Has anyone ever tried an express or liverpool through a Orange 4x12? I'm thinking with the extra depth it'll have some good low end punch that the Express is sometimes missing.

Re: New Express Build and ?'s on a few options
FWIW: what I've noticed about the cut control is that it can drastically lower perceived volume in these amp. You'll actually start loosing clarity/pump/volume on your high E and the B strings.
But if you just use it a "little" bit it can help tame down bright speakers.

Re: Check my new amp out! Gibson GA-18
So I went through the amp this past weekend. I replaced the power cord for a proper ground, cleaned most of the connections. I added in a speaker jack for the OT and cleaned up the hacked trem jack. I replaced the filter can cap and the cathode caps/resistors. This amp SMOKES plugged into my 2x12 We...

Re: HHO, GEET Pantone, Ram wings, Turbonators
Casey, I agree with you, we need to start developing cheap hydrogen generation. There is lots of great development in the solar field as of late and with nuclear so hopefully we'll switch over. Hydrogen can be implemented safer than gasoline is in cars right now though. My point I guess was, we don'...

Re: HHO, GEET Pantone, Ram wings, Turbonators
His process allows for TDC detonation, exhaust so clean you can breath it , and the ability for traditional ICE to burn Diesel/Turpins/Gas/Alcohol (first distillation on up) etc. It really is incredible. It's actually incredibly easy. 1) No carboration/throttle body 2) Re-key the timing or adjust t...

Re: HHO, GEET Pantone, Ram wings, Turbonators
Hey guys, im a jerk and didn't read the whole thread but I have some experience with this. So I'll throw it in. My father has tried the small brown gas generator with his Chevy Van 4.3L V6. It increased his MPG about 1-3MPG. We came to this for a conclusion. The science is right, if you try to make ...
