Is the Komet 60 Scheme still available?

If so, stephenmartin17 at comcast dot net.

Thank you

"fake PI"

.I thought it might've been a "fake" PI I think that the third stage is a filter. Here is my analysis. Using superposition: 1) short out the cathode and then the transfer function of the output network using the plate as the input is 470k/(Ztube+100k+(1/s*0.01uF)+470k). Since tube output impedance ...

If it sounds good, great. It can be improved.

Do you own a minimix II or have you tried one? If so, what hiss and what noise, are you refering to, the MMII is completely noiseless. Dont try to reinvent the wheel The relays are there in order for you to switch off parallel operation if you use eg a compressor Or eq in the loop. I agree that the...

Poor Design

I cannot believe they put the relay in the summing node of the op amp. Any noise that couples in here will see the total open loop gain of the op amp. The input resistor should go between the relay and the op amp. The 49.8k's are probably the recommended load for the xformers. They could be wired as...

UltraHooked,

What a professional job. My stuff always looks like a science fair project.

Re: Wanted: Two Rock Ruby schematic

Thanks for the gut shot. I looks like the schematic is correct. My guess is it is a copy of the Dumblator return ckt. The Dumblator and Dumblator II schemes are the same as the Two Rock's implementation. Are the Dumblator schemes wrong (are they all based on a single reverse engineering job)? Did HA...

Re: Dumbleator II

Hmmm. I have the same concerns with this schematic that I had with the Two Rock Ruby scheme. Did Two Rock use a bad Dumble scheme? Did HAD make a mistake in his circuit (Leo Fender's mistakes are crucial to the development of the electric guitar tone--so this is not necessarily a bad thing)? My conc...

Re: Will the real presence circuit please stand up!

Also the upper left and the one directly to the right of it are identical from an electrical point of view. The one on the right is the best practice. Connecting the wiper to the other tap prevents an open circuit if the wiper fails. The upper right and the lower left only differ in the type of cap ...

Re: Wanted: Two Rock Ruby schematic

There is a resistor missing between the return jack and the network feeding the return recovery stage. Otherwise the amount of voltage feedback from the 22M resistor would depend on the output impedance of the FX pedal plugged into the return jack. Some FX have a passive output where the volume cont...

D'Lite?

So the D'Lite refers to a Dumble inspired 18Watt amp and not to anything that HAD designed?

It's down again

SH has been down again for about week.

Maybe I am paranoid, but perhaps a post '70's amp company threatened him with legal action.

Does anyone know what is going on? :?

Don't Completely Agree

I believe that Mat Mathias of Matamp was the first to: 1) Use voltage feedback around a single triode stage (like the Dumble stage with the 22M resistors) 2) Use a pot on the long tail pair to get the right ratio on the plate resistors. What is unique about Dumble: 1) The "snubber" caps 2) The Skyli...
