You can also do something similar to Fender with 4" screws and lock nuts going thru the bottom of the chassis.

the power supply is a pretty huge difference from the original narrow panel bassman setup.

we must be talking about something different or something changed. The ones I got several years ago had 5 wires and were as robust as anything else out there, both 2 button and 3 button pedals.

The 3 switch footswitches at CE Distribution(Antique Electronics) have the cords and 5 pin plugs that fit those jacks. The boxes are resonably priced as well. 5 pins and the switches and LEDs in side are easy to rewire.

Looking where the two white wires go I'd guess it's some sort of NFB switch.

I've used them on many amps of all kinds and love 'em!! At least as nice/good as the others you've mentioned.

Changing your PI caps would help but may not do all you need. do you have a schem of what you've got so we're all looking at the same thing?
