I have 3 2 x 12 cabs. 1 w/ h75,H55 Scumbacks 65w 1 w/heritage 12m,12h 1 w/chinese 12m,70th ann 12h I like the sound of the Scumbacks with my 2 Expresses. Close 2nd is the chinese 12m,70th annv.12h. I haven't tried the 30 watt Scummies but i would like to. With my 5o watt Plexi the celestion cabs win...

I had one of my amps open yesterday and tried the switch.I guess I prefer the original Francesca layout.I use the 500pf cap as well,like Glen. I ran both my clones through an ab switcher and compared that way. I seemed to lose a little bottom end and a little top end wired the revised way.Just sound...

Hey Eric, Yes I made the cabs.I built both to Francesca specs. Trannies are from Chris at Toneslut,but I used his newer OT on both. Thier is a little difference between the amps sound wise.Really subtle difference as the new one sounds alittle brighter and maybe alittle tighter in the lowend at same...

Well,I had enjoyed building my first Express so much,I decided to build another.Fired her up yesterday and she sounds just as amazing as my first.Both builds came out real quiet,no hum.Named her "Juanita".
She's on the bottom.Next is a Liverpool.

I gotta add here Steve; you need to see 6.3 across 2/7 on the power tubes and 4,5/9 on the little tubes. If you don't you've got a filament to cathode short in one of the tubes somewhere.
