Thanks for the responses, guys. I learn something every time I visit this forum. It's all making sense now.
Matt h, I'm hoping you're making a colloquial reference to the design. I'll be careful before reading your posts

Signal applied to... Cathode?
Looking at this schematic of an 80's Peavey Heritage, I'm a bit perplexed about the power amp circuit. It looks to me as if the signal is being applied to the Cathode of the output tubes, and only a bias voltage on the control grids. I've not seen this before, and I've been wondering if anyone else ...

I'm OK Mike. I have an order going out this week and I'll just include the plug and jack in it. Thanks.

Re: DIN Jack and generic 3-button footswitch question
I found what I needed, too. Thanks for the heads-up. Not too crazy about that $30 shipping charge on a $15 order, though. I guess I'll wait until I can put together a larger order before pulling the trigger.

Re: DIN Jack and generic 3-button footswitch question
I need to replace the DIN-style footswitch plug and jack on a Peavey Heritage. The jack has 6 contacts arranged radially around a central contact for a total of 7 contacts. All except one are connected. Does anyone have a source for these "odd" DIN type connectors?

Re: Anyone using Musical Power Supplies iron?
I'm using a set in an 18 watt Superlite. The PT is the 275-0-275 and runs cool. I have some vibration, but that's because of "less than ideal" recycled chassis. No complaints here. Customer service is excellent.

I couldn't login using Firefox, but was able to login with Internet Explorer with no problem.
I hope they get it fixed, 'cause I hate IE.

Re: Acoustic amp schematics
Just wonderin', but what are the requirements for a good sounding acoustic instrument amp? Would it be something like a hifi amp, with clean, flat, PA frequency response? Ultralinear taps for screen supply? I guess a versatile EQ is a must. Plenty of ins and outs for mixer feeds, etc. Did I miss any...
