Re: New video you guys will probably appreciate by GK
Hi Glen, Is there a '50s' Fender wiring as well??? I have a 'new' Baja Tele that I'd like to mod to standard wiring since I don't use the push button 4th position and I was wondering if there was a 'vintage' wiring method. Great work on the video, I've enjoyed it a lot and it puts my mind at ease ab...

Trainwreck.com is dead???
Hello again,
Well, I'm sorry but it ain't working, I've deleted my cookies and all and it still doesn't work, very very strange. I've also tried it with IE and it didn't work either.
Thanks anyhow, and take care.
Cheers,
Paul.

Trainwreck.com is dead???
Hi there guys, I every so often check out the official domain of Trainwreck! www.trainwreck.com, but to my surprise since a few weeks I am unable to access the site. I already hinted at it in another post and hoped people would react but nada! Anyway, does anyone know what's up, if the site will be ...

Rocket build
Hi there people, I know, a lot of people have been asking around for half power Liverpools and Rockets and such. For my next project I'd like to build a small Rocket combo. The idea is to get either an old chassis or maybe a discarded SS amp and drill the holes myself. My question is: what kind of t...

Hi there, I'm gonna try a 2XEL84 Rocket next but probably in a small combo format, what kind of transformers should I use for an output of say 15W?
Cheers,
Paul.

Re: Stupid stupid stupid
Been there, done that. Coming from Europe I ordered the 240V version of the Heyboer powertranny from Toneslut. These have wires coming out on both sides though, not like the american ones where all the wires go neatly through one hole on the further side of the chassis, so I drilled the two holes an...

Re: New AmpGarage forumite, looking for basic info on TW models
Hi There Gushtone, I just finished my first Express a month ago and it's a beauty indeed. Trainwrecks are superb amps if you don't want to have too many pedals lying in front of you on stage and still have that sweet clean tingle going to screaming highgain lead with just a turn on a the knob of you...

Express Hiss Issues
Hi everybody, Thanks a lot for all your input. As stated I just experience lots of hiss, that does get louder the more I turn the amp up, how can I measure (as Glen did in mA) the amount of hiss??? I'm a newbie so bear with me here. I do use the Hotplate to attenuate it and on the -12dB point you ca...

Weird readings on 6L6 Express 'Géraldine'
Thank you very much, that's it, I was using the prescribed method of hooking the black lead to a good grounding point on the chassis and probe with only one hand.
Thanks again.
Paul.

Weird readings on 6L6 Express 'Géraldine'
Hi there everybody, I tried to make my voltage chart today, and all checked out quite well, though I did have one really weird reading on my filaments voltage, why does it only read 3.2V??? Can anyone tell me what I did wrong, my Express sounds fine and all is working but I'm a bit puzzled. Any inpu...

Géraldine FINISHED!!! (6L6 Express)
Hi there everybody, Got some cork yesterday and some NeoPrene glue, in the store they told me it should work to stick it to the aluminium bottom plate. I've constructed a makeshift cab for the moment, not very nice looking but it'll do to transport the amp, buttjoint construction pine...oh well, I'l...
