Re: trainwreck trauma?!?!?!?!??!
I am in akron. I think installing an fx loop in an express is a bad idea.

Re: 6sl7 cascode
Grid bias upper triode. That is sorta what I was wanting to try. Was checking out some of the circuits in Merlin's book. Thanks I will give it a try

Choke orientation in a rocket
I always heard you are suppose to mount your choke with the lamination facing the same way as the power transformer. This is not so in a rocket. How critical is the choke orientation. Is it worth building a rectifier circuit and doing the headphone trick......

Re: 6sl7 cascode
Thanks, I have elevated the heaters that way as well. I was actually worried that I would be elevating them at too high a voltage for a cascode circuit at the bias resistor

6sl7 cascode
I am designing an amp with a 6sl7 cascode input and plan on elevating the heaters by connecting the heater center tap at my cathode bias 6l6 bias resistor. Is there any reason this will not work, something about heater to cathode ratio or what not. I have done this before just not with a cascode. Th...

Re: bias modulating trem and paraphrase phase inverter
I restored a 60's lectrolab with cathodyne phase inverter and cathode bias el84 output and it sounds glorious, but I want that nasty old paraphrase, thanks for all your help, looks like a modified ampeg inverter and trem circuit may be added to the mix

Re: bias modulating trem and paraphrase phase inverter
so it would be better with a lower value cap on the cathode resistor or better yet none

Re: bias modulating trem and paraphrase phase inverter
do you think there would be a problem increasing the plate resistors from 47k to 100k and also the 200 r resistor on the cathodes is just there for negative feedback loop, right? thanks again
