Should be fine, just make sure the chassis makes contact with it all the way around. Thickness makes no difference. If I remember correctly, the signals we are trying to shield out can be blocked by chickenwire mesh...

For the sake of adventure could the HIWATT tonestack be used in place of the Rocket tonestack? Probably, but considering the Rocket was designed as an AC30 "done right", I cant say that I'd personally do it and expect any improvement... If you think about it, Hiwatts are BIG sounding, BIG octal bot...
