I love the look of the silver amps and the silver knobs, don't get me started on the font on the silver amps!

Re: Add another one to the list....
Awful clip IMHO, many crappy little pedals into a clean amp can get you there...Billion81 wrote:Pretty Limited offering compared to the other folks.
The Youtube clip of Gary Phil isn't doing that amp any favors...Or vice versa.

Re: Lower watt output TWs?
Mine runs 15 watts and has a 10.5k OT. It also has a built in VVR that will let you go down go bedroom levels. The two holers are great sounding amps if you do your homework and do it right. Are you selling this amp? I can't find it on your website. Yes we sell 15 watt 2 x 12 combo. If you go to th...

Re: Lower watt output TWs?
UR2, Dana Hall, makes a dynamite sounding "2 Hole" Liverpool I think they power out at 15 to 18 watts, still way loud but the tone is still there. Mine runs 15 watts and has a 10.5k OT. Re: Ceriatone 183 and Ford Amp
Yeah, that looks pretty close to what I suggested. Stuff like adding PS stiffness, using 4.7uf bypass caps, etc... All I did was suggest the standard values and remove Nik's changes which would make the amp brighter, gainier, and thinner. I'd further suggest you look at talbany's Ford amp layout an...

Re: Ceriatone 183 and Ford Amp
Over the years many of my mods and advice has been incorporated into his designs. Direct tweaks I made have been reported back and incorporated. Never received a thanks or acknowlegement. Nik is the only builder who has never reached out and said thanks. Not once. All others have. I really don't gi...

Re: Ceriatone 183 and Ford Amp
You probably realize I am pretty hands off most of the time.... Argue away. As for Nik, he has every right to do what he does. He makes a product with great value. I have tweaked several and after mods, they came out superb. Not so much before tweaks fwiw. But I digress. My only gripe is that he re...

Re: Ceriatone 183 and Ford Amp
I've been lurking on this forum for about two years, now two posts in one day! I am not an amp builder or tech. I am a poor working musician. I got interested in these amps after I discovered that a lot of my favourite guitar tones were created with them. Many decades ago I bought the live Jackson ...

Re: LarMar MV
Do you belong to the Metro forum? They are the originator of the that MV (although I think they borrowed heavily from Ken Fischer). Tons of guys there have installed it and have talked just about everything concerning the installation and operation of it. Thanks. I've been lurking there but I'm not...

Re: LarMar MV
If you don't want to drill it's either that or a speaker jack hole. Speaker jack hole is recommended because near the inputs is potentially noisy, but try it if you'd like. It's a good mod for a jtm45 for sure. Thanks. I thought about an input jack because it's more convenient to have the pot on th...

LarMar MV
How to install it on my JTM-45 without drilling a hole into the frontplate.
I've seen that Granger amps is putting a pot in place of one of the 4 inputs (into the low input of the normal channel) This is where I'd like to install the LarMar. Any experience with this mod? thanks.
