Trade 1974 Dale RNN65C 221K Resistors for
I'm looking to trade these 1974 Dale RNN65C 221K ohm resisters in quantity (100?) for other 1970s Dale RN65 resistors in the popular Dumble plate load values. I have a lot of them. Please contact me at bluetron.com. Thanks. -Smitty Dale RN65 221K 1974 a.jpg Dale RN65 221K 1974 b.jpg Dale RN65 221K 1...

Re: Can I use a Bassman 70watts PT and OT for a Deluxe reverb?
I don't think you need transformers. Those are two really good transformers for a build. I think they're the same as the bantam bass amp. I've got two bantams and have done the ultraphonix mod to both them. I also changed to regular speakers. One has a Jensen 15 and the other has a Jensen 12. Everyo...

Re: Peter Mather and his amp cabs
I worked very closely with Peter for a few years. Helped him move into the shop next to mine. He was a fun guy and my main cab builder for years. Great guy with a ton of skills. He had a jig to hold tension on a guitar neck while refretting. The guitar her did for me is among my best playing... Such...

Re: My #102 build --- a forum supported build :)
trying to use Smitty's parts first, before adding in more. He did give me some .086 uF caps that are NOS sprague, and mentioned I should use those in place of the .1 caps... seems like it's pretty close, and likely since it's not a bass amp is likely just fine, but open to feedback on that as well....

Re: 1971 Super Six Reverb
That's a nice collection of big Fenders! Funny about the transformer codes. I have two Twins with the exact same serial number. Go figure! If you're thinking about grill cloth to make them all look nice and the same (Super Six doesn't really need it) Mojo has some inexpensive Fender blackface grille...

Re: Dumble modified Fender Vibrolux Reverb
It looks like Reverb took down the listing. One can usually see old 'sold' listings. Not in this case.

Re: Any one been inside a Komet 19 yet?
I'm seeing a lot of 'too good to be true' scams on ebay and noticing a lot of them are from ebay sellers that have zero feedback. I put them in my watch list and its only a matter of time after the auction end that the auction page returns 'we can't find that one anywhere'.

Cathode Volume Control
I was reading the post on obscure Trainwreck derives circuits...
https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31825
...and came across the Gothic Talon
Has anyone ever seen or tried the volume control in the cathode circuit of the phase inverter?

Re: 1970's Dumble OD-50W ODS available on Reverb
I thought that was the most interesting part of the interview. That there was some element of chance in the construction and assembly. Something Dumble wasn't able to control. A notion not consistent with his legend. There is ample evidence that the 'it' factor varied with his amps.
