He did give me some .086 uF caps that are NOS sprague, and mentioned I should use those in place of the .1 caps... seems like it's pretty close, and likely since it's not a bass amp is likely just fine, but open to feedback on that as well....

I'm seeing a lot of 'too good to be true' scams on ebay and noticing a lot of them are from ebay sellers that have zero feedback. I put them in my watch list and its only a matter of time after the auction end that the auction page returns 'we can't find that one anywhere'.

I thought that was the most interesting part of the interview. That there was some element of chance in the construction and assembly. Something Dumble wasn't able to control. A notion not consistent with his legend. There is ample evidence that the 'it' factor varied with his amps.
