IT'S HERE!!!
And OMG I love it!!! I've always been a big single channel fan. Never much cared for amps with channel switching. The best amp for me, so far, has been a Fender '58 RI Bassman. These amps have a great clean...and they'll get loud while maintaining clarity. I have generally favored stompboxes to get ...

Re: 1/2 power
well this disconcerting to hear. I do not want to build in the 1/2 power unless its safe and clearly works. Will it "work"? Absolutely. Now, will it work as you expect it it should? Maybe, maybe not. The wattage will be halved (or an approximation thereof)...the "issue" is that wattage is linear......

Re: 2-7189 Express
I've got questions re: the 7189's
I've heard differing opinions on compatability with 7189a's. Some say they're a drop-in replacement...others say they have a different pin-out.
Can you clear my confusion?
And yes, a reputable seller would be good knowledge to have.

Re: Solo boost
You say he wants a gain boost, not a volume boost. Then you say you want it in front of the preamp.

Re: xformer noise
I've seen some people wrap multiple rubber bands around the housing in several different places...But I never knew what they were doing. I assumed noise...
Perhaps this could help?

El Double' I don't like this format... If you get an error on "submit"...hit back, and copy your post. Then CLOSE the browser and reopen fresh. If your post isn't there, paste in fast reply. Usually it's there...hence the doubles. It's a little more work but it's a surefire way to handle these erro...

Re: 2-7189 Express
 Humungous choke!! Is that concidered standard?? Stew Dual output trannys. It's dual channel AND single ended. Twice. All knobs are pull knobs. In "pulled" configuration they operate the lead channel. But I have to use two cabinets...so... Gotta get the jargon all lined up before I sh...

Re: 2-7189 Express
You've got to be on your game or you'll look foolish  Never bothered me before... I'm excited to hear this is "darker" sounding...I'm a fan of heavier darker tones. I like more mahogany and less maple...more basswood and less ash. I'll be running this into a Vintage 30 2x12...Should I ...

Re: Blue nosed gopher
Mat, I gotta clean up some burnt wires and frustration wire routing then I'll get it weighed and give you the final payment amount. You're gonna like this amp. I hate it......only because it beat me half to death building it. Believe it or not it feeds back and makes huge sustain and wonderful harm...
