Re: ODS Pedal Parts

Thanks for reply.... I know of those, but aren't they rather flimsy for a pedal? Anyone really used those for pedals?

Re: Speaker attachment

Well, thanks guys.. I know of all those gizmos.... Somehow I thought about a dtachable subpanel from the inside, fixed to the main front with carriage bolts, but probably making it unnecessearly complicated... Grill cloth directly on the front panel or on a separate frame??

Speaker attachment

Maybe a silly question, - but not for me.... 8) Over the years I've built several hifi and PA speakers, and in most cases bolting the speakers to the cab is easy-peasy... Now I'm about to start amp and speaker cab for a project I'm doing, and came to thing of how to attach the speaker to the front p...

ODS versions overview

I may have been dreaming this up, but I'm (quite) sure that I have seen a table ( of sorts) covering variations of component values between versions...
FOr the better of me, I cannot find it..... have I really just been dreaming this up???

Re: Opamp fx loop white noise

Off the top of my head, - try another opamp... try to scope the supply to see where the noise starts... supply, buffer/driver, input driver...
You seem to have very high gain on the neg input to the input buffer....?? How clean is the raw 30V??

Re: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STUDY AND LEARNING WITH EFFICIENCY

Unless you already have som background in electrics or electronics I would strongly suggest that you start with some quick basics in components and simpler circuits. There's plenty of info on the net. from basic texts to online training courses......

Re: #102 "System" In a Box Build

Hi Aaron - if you're still around..... and BTW - Happy New Year... I'm working on a copy of the Sonorus, but at the same time I'm working on a schematic that will present the amp as a complete circuit for later use ( when I'm not available... no one in this region has ever seen or heard a Dumble amp...

I bought a chassis from him earlier this year. Very good service and quality, - face- and rear plates included. While I made my own CAD drawings, they needed som correction, - also included.....

Re: 1N4003 - Why?

In the actual drawing, that diode is only to protect the LED from reverse voltage it cannot handle by itself... At 10-15 mA for a LED any diode can be used, - also 4007....

Output safety resistor

I'm working on a appx 80W amp....On some occations, I've seen references to a sort of output "safety"resistor, - a 60-70 ohms resistor across the output, as a sort of safeguard against no load situations... what's your thouhgts on this??

Re: How to ground pots?

That may be a point, but the whole idea of single point ground, otherwise also advocated in pro audio, does not exist in the guitar amps I've seen....
