Re: How to ground pots?
Those are grounding lugs for RF connectors, and come in various sizes, - the BNC chassis versions fits perfectly, and are sold by all regular electronics suppliers like Mouser, Digikey and several others. I've literally used hundreds of those in my 40+ years in trade, and have yet to see them fail. ...

Re: Eyelet board tools
I just turned a small flaring tool out of a 3/8 bolt, - insert several eyelets, place the board upside down on a piece of steel plate, - some gentle taps with a hammer, - and voila.... For turrets, one needs a correctly sized die to support the turret, but otherwise, the hammer trick works equally w...

Re: Power Supply
That circuit cannot work.. you need a voltage divider to ground to set the gate voltage.... Why resistors in series with the diodes??? If used they must be very low value....

Wilsonart H2O is a waterbased contact glue... there's probably several other brands available in the US.... I've used swedish made Casco for making several styrofoam boxes for insulating electronic instruments..

Re: NOS Dale RN65D vs New RN65D's
There have been some few discussions on this topic during the last decade, and I still keep wondering.... The HiFi-world also struggles with similar problems.. :) There's a few things that bothers me.... expectation bias, - people hear differences based on expectation that there will be a difference...

Re: Kiwame Carbon Film Resistors good enough?
Several of the OD layouts have PSU resistor wattage way beyond what is necesseary, - e.g. the 270k balancing resistors for the two main cap's are often shown as 5W, but on calculating the dissipation with one cap shorted, one resistor will dissipate appx 1W....

Re: Oscilloscope suggestion
After 40yrs++ in the trade, and even with modern compact PCs a PC based scope will never compete with a real scope. Modern scopes are very compact. I see people in other fora reporting good experiences with direct China imports for 3-400 USDs. Aves you from hauling it your luggage. You need to look ...
