both clips sound good
barring the db level of the lead in clip 2 I like it better...softer,smooth bite
clip 1 is more of a glassy bite
I use mullards and amperex and like better than JJ
IMNSPHO (in my not so professional honest opinion)

This is very interesting..using a 12au7 a few caps and some potsI've been thinking about most is building in a tube graphic EQ (maybe an optimized version of the one from a Super Twin?) that could be switched in and out with the OD channel.
