He's the site admin here, and also has a shop that provides parts to lots of builders here. I bought two chassis from him--good, quality stuff. He has a post in the for sale section for Pacific trannies:

Re: express output transformer

Thanks for the info, GP. My previous posts should have read 5200 ohm and 4300 ohm.

Re: express output transformer

The Liverpool uses EL84s though and the gain voicing is different. Kinda hard to compare. I was just curious if the 4300k output would be the "hotter" of the two (4300k,5200k) in my Liverpool, in case i only hook up one. I assumed the 5200k was the hotter output, but it sounds like that was an inco...

So, the lower ohm output is "hotter"? The dual-output Liverpool transformer has a 4300k and 5200k output. Would the 4300k be insanely hot?

Re: Replacing Trannies in Ceriatone Liverpool

I would leave the Ceriatone amp alone and use the new Heyboer tranny set to build a Express or Rocket. Hi Mark, I have an Express "rebuild" in process using another set of Heyboer trannies. So, this set of transformers for the LP is actually an "extra" set (with LP specific OT). Before I do the PT,...

Re: Replacing Trannies in Ceriatone Liverpool

Thanks for the responses so far, guys. Say I already have a Heyboer OT & PT. Should I just swap them both, or will the PT really make no difference? The less effort the better, but I'd kinda like matching iron in the amp, especially if it will make a difference.

Replacing Trannies in Ceriatone Liverpool

Hi All, I scored a Liverpool (or Liverpull, as Nik calls it) from Ceriatone last week. It sounds great, but it's a slight bit harsh. I happen to have a new power and vintage spec output (dual tap) set of trannies from Moose. Would it make a huge difference to swap out the transformers, and if so, wo...

Welcome, Peach!

You may have better luck in the For Sale/Trade forum, if you haven't been there already.

Good luck in your hunt for a quality TW (clone)!

Re: Great Strat tone but way overdriven LP tone....Express p

Or, you could get a set of *low* output HB's and put them in the LP. That's the route I went with the guitar I have (it's a McNaught Phoenix, not an LP) This would be my suggestion. I don't have my express up & running (yet), but this will be my plan of attack if the pickups in my LPs don't sound g...

Very cool looking cab! I was thinking about getting a dado blade or dovetail jig for my router, but I may just do that instead.

Let me know if you guys ever make it to Iowa.

Seriously, though...I'd love to see (and hear) you guys live! Good luck with your demo--recording is a good time!

What is your youtube page? I can't get to MySpace at work, but I think YouTube still works...

What did you end up doing/going with, and in what order? Does it sound as good as before?
