If the voice coil is getting hot enough that you have to let it cool down, are you not doing damage?

Any thoughts on the earcandy speaker break in CD? I have only used it twice, once on a weber 12" alnico 8 ohm 30 watt and once on a WGS green beret 16 ohm 25 watt. Really helped open up both speakers. The weber was so harsh and brittle I hated it, after the cd break in it is my fave speaker, honestl...

What a pain in the butt to cut in half. Took three dremel cut off wheels to get through the porcelain. But they are paper and oil. Quite a bit of oil in the center. They were destroyed by the time I was done so I didnt bother with pics. Rated for 600 volts I think I might try them in a sub-mini buil...

Values test correct. What they are made of? I have no idea. I was hoping someone here had some details. They feel kind of light for their size so I guess they could be ceramic. Anybody have any info or past experience with these. a guy at the swap meet had a big bag for a price I couldnt pass up. He had no info on them and I cant find any info online. Hoping someone here might know a thing or two about them. Thank you
