Re: The unspoken topic
I was always afraid to sing because of an asshole voice teacher I had in high school that humiliated me in front of the whole class. I kept noticing I would have a sore throat after band practice, turns out I was humming and singing along with every note I played I just couldn't hear it with the amp...

Re: Guitar Gallery Thread! Post 'em up!
Wowz! Who made those basses, 1, 3, 5, 6? Hey Xtian, #3 is a custom and the rest of the hippy sandwiches are Alembics with a handful of Gibsons for good measure. These all belonged to T.K. Shaw who lived in Chico, but sadly passed away a few years ago (R.I.P. TK!). An old deadhead bass player and Al...

Re: Guitar Gallery Thread! Post 'em up!
That figuring almost looks like the top on my fake '59, now I wanna relic it! All those hollow bodies are nice too. I only have 1 Gibson hollow body, it's a '68, oh yeah and it only has 4 strings, it's the red-head in the back of the class... https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7922/32353417947_0c1784f01...

Re: Best way to deal with two amp (stereo) ground loop buzz?
I'm using a TC Gmajor2 rack effect unit for the stereo split, the analog output stage can be set for a professional line level at + 2, 8, 14, or 20dBu or consumer line level at -10dBV and both the input and output level can be adjusted on the from panel from 0 to max with their own knobs, which shou...

Re: Best way to deal with two amp (stereo) ground loop buzz?
Thanks RG,
The TC will do up to +20dB on the outputs, but maybe I should look at something else in case I ever do any octave down or drop tuning stuff.

Re: Best way to deal with two amp (stereo) ground loop buzz?
Thanks guys, it sounds like isolating the signal is the way to go. I think I'll try a set of those xicon isolation trannies after the stereo volume pedal and make it part of the pedal board, or maybe just put them in the pedal itself and lift the output jacks with plastic sleeves and washers. It's o...

Best way to deal with two amp (stereo) ground loop buzz?
The experts out on the web don't seem to be trusted on this. So far what I've seen looks dangerous, or ineffective. Is there something I can do inside of the amps themselves to get them to play well together? What's a better fix, at the plug, or isolate one or more of the signals with isolation tran...

Re: A cry for help
I only need 5 more guitars; a ZB pedal steel, a hippy sandwich built by my best friend growing up to replace the Irwin I had as a young man that the headstock broke off, a wraparound p-90 gold top, a Guild F-412 12 string, and the olympic white Tele that came to me in a dream one night 30 some years...

Re: A cry for help
I'll bite, I'm enough of a weirdo to meet your "so different" criterion. In the western world, Yang=solution, no one strives for any balance because the reality of the universe is subverted with the lie of debt and fake money. Like a smoker's tastebuds, people have lost all taste for Yin. Vintage ge...

Re: A sin against nature?
I think they only sell them in pairs, for Nashville singer songwriter couples that go to the same hairdresser and jeans boutiques, but cool youth pastors with a note from the head minister can buy a single guitar as long as they promise not to plug it into anything with more than 15 watts.

I knew a guy who was a real tone head that had a 2x12 fender cabinet that was in a flood, he called the speakers "silt-tone", it sounded amazing.

This guy is a friend of mine (Eric Lindell), used to sing in one of my bands back in the early 90's. We were never this good.

Re: Stuff I'd like to have
That all seems reasonable. I'd like to help you out but my only spare cloning machine is for Telefunkens. The Mullard cloner got destroyed by hot lava along with the rest of my underground laboratory/recording studio. My own fault really, I put the "dispense fish" button to close to the "self destru...
