New Build

I have been observing for a few years, decided to get my feet wet. This will be a Bluesmaster based on Ceriatone's !00 HRM. I haven't built an amp before, and without the knowledge gained here, i would not even attempt it. My hat's off to the excellent builders here, i will send pics as it progresse...

Speaker

I have a chance to get a used EV12L, tried it with a Blackface Twin, sounds great. Is this still the speaker of note for this type of cab? Or does the Bluesmaster want something more British?

Re: Joe Bonnamassa on the Peter Lerche Dumble You Tube Clip

Interesting that he waited 10 years for delivery of the amp. A lot of things can happen in 10 years.... address changes... phone number changes... etc. I like Peter's tone, playing, and I really like the wood in the background of his studio. Must be reclaimed lumber from some old barn or something....

Re: Overdrive Special Reverb........#60

For what's worth, i have used my 50 watt both ways. For more contemporary music i prefer post. Old time jump blues and swing pre. The Fender reverb unit is an instrument, you have to mess with it depending on volume and breakup. Just my 3 cents.

Re: Layout Revisions Please Check

Is that not #75? Hi Grog, the amp on the picture, which Tom (structo) has posted, that looks indeed similar to #040, is a 2nd generation "pre-classic" ODS 50W, but in a rather unusual cabinet for such a 2nd generation ODS combo. If it should really be #040, then the speaker has been changed after o...

Re: dumble clome ceriatone overtone special manual

I found a huge difference playing the heck out of it for a few days. I then retubed with my favorite glass and rebiased. Sounds fantastic. A few months of hard playing is what these things need me thinks. Greg.
