Re: Traynor tubes

Those amps are a marshall waiting to happen, look at the schematic of both a 50 watt marshall and the traynor, and some gut shots of both chassis, I beleave traynor runs there pre-amps at higher voltages, but it should sound pretty good as is, I had a bassmate with a 15" speaker and it sounded cool ...

Re: Princeton clone build: blowing fuses

I see the the 100 ohm R under the light now, but the way the heater wires are grounded looks odd to me ala old style did you use a modern layout? im not sure that's the right way to run heaters

Re: PEC pot

I got some pots from that seller for 5$ each, don't understand that listing,
the 1 meg pots i got were very nice, in a sealed bag looked military issue. When i went back to buy more the prices had changed, but i'd buy as many as i could for 5$ mark

jtm45 transformer questions

I have a heyboer 40watt OT, it's 4k with a 8ohm output tap so if
i hook a 16 ohm speaker to the 8 ohm tap the OT is now a 8k correct?
I'm hoping this will work out as it's a budget build, mark
