Re: Joe B got a Herzog

I hear ya Vibratoking. Joe seems like a nice enough guy, and knowledgeable of music history and trivia, but his playing? meh. Yeah....I like your playing much better. Your last album was killer! 8) Can you post a link where it can be downloaded???...can't seem to find it when googled.... TIA

Re: FET Board - Veroboard Layout

The signal inversion is something I hope to put to my advantage....I have discrete channels on the Twin, with the clean channel (normal) having 3 gain stages (fender style), and the OD (vibrato) having 4 stages (dumble 102-ish). So as it is, I can't run the channels parallel, but will try the FET in...

Re: FET Board - Veroboard Layout

Hey....VERY cool! Being into Vero myself, this is tempting....I may try it in a box, run it into my Dumblized '74 Twin. Are you building it to verify? If not, I might be your guinea pig....do you have a link to the schematic you used? I like to have the schem for reference as I'm building and to tro...

Re: Attenuating a Dlator for SE duty

If you can find NOS, that's cool (although pricey) but EH AY's work great, too, for a lot less $$

Re: Attenuating a Dlator for SE duty

I'd try a 12AY7 in it (d'lator) prior to any radical circuit changes....that's what I use in mine, and it's quite sweet, even for PP/ traditional use. Not tried it with SE, but it will definitely whack down the gain in a non-invasive manner. If you don't have an AY, then put any lower mu 12A_7 in to...

Didn't PRS have access to and "clone" Duane's Superbass Plexi? It's also switchable to Jimi specs, supposedly. http://youtu.be/dgJwqUB4BjE http://prsguitars.com/forum/showthread.php?6060-Help-me-pick-a-new-PRS-amp&p=92710&viewfull=1#post92710 http://youtu.be/-c8iOSXgmSk http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-...

Re: 102 complete, od trim question

Congrats on completing the build! If you look at the 102 schem here ( http://ampgarage.com/forum/download/file.php?id=16859 ) you'll see that the OD trim on Robben's original is a 100k linear set at around 25k to ground, which would indeed be around the 9:00 mark. On my 102-ish '74 Twin Reverb conve...

Re: first channel switching amps?

When did Dumble start building the ODS?
"Running on empty" was '77..... Didn't David Lindley use his snakeskin ODS on that song?
:?:

Or are we only talking about discrete fully separate channels?

Re: I had a nice visit with #94 today until...

I've looked into using this type of fastener and couldn't find any that would accommodate the necessary thickness of metal. They are made of vey hard steel and can't be forced. Measure the hole location and chassis thickness and see if any of these will work http://www.grainger.com/content/cat_405_...

You need to put a link or something as your sig at the bottom of your posts...some shameless self promo so people know who you are 8)

The festival was only about 20mins away from me, but (unfortunately) I was unable to go....wish I had, if only to see Warren using your amp!
