hello , that is a really cool amp , sadly that amp would not be good for a TW-style conversion the layout and circuit topology is too for from the originals I would sell it and buy the parts to build a TW if your desire for one is strong . cheers

the layout that i am viewing has a 70uf 100v cap at the end of the board i would jumper this as well and any other caps connected to the reverb circut for diagnostic purposes

hello , the last layout you posted is great i cant wait to see the finished product and for what you are trying to do i would go the PTP route it is not hard just one line at a time . good luck please keep posting progress i love unconventional builds :) cheers

yes please sell, they are great amps used by soundgarden , blind melon and many others these were peaveys answer to the jcm800. some say setting the dip switches in a certain way will give you a jose mod .cheers

I would say white but that would be a guess its sort of shhhishhy :lol: i will try the metal films but I am more interested in what effect the lack of a cathode resistor is playing in the equation and the grounded 3meg off the input ? thanxx again you rock :mrgreen:

The only thing about this amp i am struggling with is the background noise , I've been playing on a rocket for many years and that amp is dead quiet . the clean side of this amp is as well ,when the master is turned down. if i pull the first tube even with the master cranked the noise is reasonable ...

So would v3b be the final gain stage and v3a the follower? it is a lot of gain :D
