Re: Vintage Guitar Magazine Dumble article
I find it funny how EVERY article on Dumble seems to re-state the following misconceptions: 1. Meticulous wire dress 2. Custom transformers 3. Epoxy protection Sonically Dumble's lead dress and his knowledge of wire and component interaction was impressive. I suppose one could argue that an amp migh...

Hi,
Sorry for the lack of attention, holidays!
Tyhe issue I'm having involves my understanding of the OD relay DPDT wiring. Is there a JUMPER or some other connection?
Which is right??::

This has always confused me.........
Hi gang! It's been a long time since I started a thread. I've been busy with other projects and getting two of my three kids out of the house, good and bad, but it gives me a bit more time. So I'm dusting off two builds that I stalled out on quite a while ago.............................the DPDT wir...

Re: Garage Band Ripper
As I am pondering a return to amp making, more like a return to the projects I've stalled about on and it's interesting to see how HAD made this amp. It brings up more questions than anything: 1. Why bother using an Orange Chassis, when you replace pretty much everything? Are Oranges steel vs. alumi...

Re: The Legend has passed
About 15 years ago I was a novice builder, I had made a AX84 thing. I had always been fascinated by the Dumble lore since SRV had come onto the world's view. I'm a Chiropractor by trade and I was working with a celebrity patient who once he heard that I was interested in the amps, loaned me one of h...

Re: Dumbleland Special Schematic
Forgive me for my limited amp designing skills and subsequent stupid questions but since I got a Bassman 70 OT and PT I may sa well try a Dumbleland adventure. But....................... I'm wondering if it would be possible and if it's worth trying to make a two channel amp. Channel one: Some versi...

Wed Apr 14, 2021 12:46 am Hi Guys, I've been following this thread and appreciate all the effort put into figuring out the Dumbleland. And.................I wondering what everyone thinks about the idea of building a Dumbleland or any of the amps with a cathode follower and mating in with a lower wa...

Re: SSS002 build log
Nice work of the caps.
A word of advise, triple check for shorts BEFORE mounting the switch and AFTER mounting. On my second SSS build I had tiniest short in there, took hours to find it.

Re: What 50w Dumble Should I Build?
Welcome and good luck on your build. To save you time.................... Go to Taylor at Amplified Nation for chassis and boards, he usually has them for sale in the "For Sale" section. Ceritone has a mixed reputation on the page. Some guys don't like him some of us don't really care. He uses cheap...

Thinking about making a beast with a transformer set from a 1970's Fender PS 160 (2 - 6550s) Hi Dreric, I built an amp with that set. It sounds as much as it weighs!
