Bump -- What are the errors in the swamp thing schemo??

Hello - all

Been wanting to build this amp and this thread seems like the only build report out there (that google finds). Anyhoo, there is mention of errors in the schematic and layout flaws. Can one of you who built this be more specific? Would be much appreciated. thx in advance!!

Bravo xtian!!

Think your layout works very well from the clips. Did you end up changing anything from the layout you first posted??

I looked over the thread again but did not see where you said which OT you are using? Mind sharing that?? thx again!

TinyTone clone (kinna catchy *doan* you think?)

Seems a couple of folks on this site have mentioned building a Torres TinyTone or maybe a clone of one. Always wondered what these are (were) about (not enough to buy one  of course). Can anyone speak from experience or schematic or ideas? These use a 6AQ5 right?? thx

Re: Dwarf Tube Rocket Amp

Hello all -- Been lurking awhile - but may have something to offer here. On another forum I have read reports of someone using 1-inch or so piece of aquarium tube slit on one side as both a tube stabilizer and microphonics muffler of sorts. Should mention that the tube this technique were applied to...

Anyone successful in doing the Dumble-like AB763 Fender Mods

Hello all - I am referring to the 3-phase, Dumble-like mods for the "normal channel" on Fender AB763 based amps as shown here: http://schematicheaven.com/dumble.htm I have tried doing these mods and I could not get the FULLY updated Normal channel (thru mod #3) to output ANYTHING. Has anyone ever tr...

Re: Burning up dropping resistors

The amp operated just fine for a number of months prior to failing. It IS wired as you suggest.

However, I spoke too soon. It is still burning out the dropping resistor before the screen tap. I guess it is time to measure voltages and possible suspect the PT - right?? :? thx again to all.

Re: Burning up dropping resistors

I went ahead and replaced the diodes and lytics for the first two taps with beter quality caps - so far so good.
