For tubes I've got V1=GE 12ax7 V2 = GE 12ax7 V3 = JJ ECC83S
Power tubes are 6P14P-EV. Put the power tubes in for testing at start up...
So pleased with them, I haven't taken them out to put a set of NOS in.
Well worth the price imho.

Jim - Got a tip from Structo - it's Tru Oil - a gun stock oil. Great for geetar necks too. Easy to apply, so I like it.

Chad -more grind than my express - brutal springs to mind. Fun though.
Cant stop smiling while trying to control the beast when it's cranked.

Liverpool - start up problem free (almost). Added a 1k into the pre-amp second stage. Mainly to stop it squealing at some settings.
This one's for my son-in law. Tweek to his tastes next. He likes aggressive amps, so this should be pretty close already.

Of my 3 clones (express, liverpool and rocket), I would put the express & rocket joint first - with the liverpool a close second. My son in law likes the liverpool best... It is a brute to keep under control.

This might sound like heresy - I bought some Russian 6P14P - EB's for start up tubes. Couldn't see firing an amp up for the first time with Siemens, Telefunken or Phillips NOS. Anyway, the 6P14P's are still in my Liverpool clone. To my ears they sound as good as anything NOS I have. Maybe my hearing...

I'm looking for a source for the most effective shielded wire. Thinking V1 in my Express & Liverpool clones in particular. Any help would be appreciated.
