Awful news. David was an innovator and a genuine good person.

A tip I got from our missing brother Tom (Structo) is Tru Oil.
Easy to apply, short drying time - 4 to 6 hours & you can get some stunning results with multiple layers.
Don't use this if you have OCD tendencies...

I'd just re-iterate that F&T make me feel the most confident. I do look at the data/spec sheets. Then I measure every cap for tolerance & esr. Another handy trick is to use thermal imaging during burn in. Surprising what can show up. Little Flir camera plugged into my iphone. :wink: In the end you p...

Yup - F&T for axials & Nichicon for radials.
I've made quite a few amps with other brands (even Chinese) & never had a problem.
But that niggly doubt in the back of my mind persists. F&T & forget about it.

380 B+ - works wonders for Marshalls using el34s.
Most of the Express info indicates 400v or so.

I remember seeing it. May have been Glen K - geetarpicker - that posted it.
I thought I had saved a copy, but a hard drive crash reminded me that it's always a good idea to back up regularly.
