update for this year... i bought some vintage Carlsbro amp mostly for Drake transformers.. i wanted to keep it but was damaged in the post.. amp sounded very good from the start! But failed in half hour :P due to tube damage .. so .. there was no more questions :mrgreen:

ofcourse but kemper has advantage in consistent recording, which is extremely difficult with any amp and speakers..
kemper has some settings of pick sensitivity, this when setup correctly is ok

I don't think there are any issues with lead dress. Its a clean build with good seperation from grid/power/etc. There is simply too much gain, and possibly an OT that can't handle it as well. i didnt see anything, you are mentioned not ok sound on high volume, falling apart is not good sign.. we ca...

there is a good way to test the amp how good is , lift tone controls up from the gnd, and see how good amp behaves in higher gain, must be excelent..otherwise there are problems in the amp stages (lead dress probably)

I don't understand what you mean, maybe because we're both not native English speakers. Do you mean the cathode resistor and bypass cap should go to the g2 filter cap? yes Or do you mean they should go to B+ (output anodes) filter cap? That is what the new PCB does. That is what Fender did back in ...

on first sight i see that you have listen my suggestions which is ok.. i have drawn on top in detail what you neeed to do.. but, cathode cap and resistor are NOT going to first filter cap.. they are going to the second (g2 supply)..so all cathode elements need to be shifted to the left part of the p...
