Voltage minimum for these power supply caps
I'm building a amp the has the power supply caps wired like the ones in the sample in the picture. Im not sure what the voltages they would see in this configuration.

Re: Anyone order from ceraitone, how fast do they deliver?
Thanks for the replies. I plan on ordering the chassis, panels, boards as I already have the trannys for it. That should help keep the shipping cost down.

Anyone order from ceraitone, how fast do they deliver?
Im looking at buying a ceriatone chassis and board set for my dumble clone and I'm curious how fast they ship. I know its expensive to get it shipped to the US even on there lowest rate, but I dont want to go to cheap on the shipping and wait a month to get it.

I ran my 5e3 clone with only 1 6v6 tube, is the tranny shot?
I fired up my deluxe clone and started playing and within 30 seconds the sound fizzled to nothing. I looked in the back and realized i pulled one of the power tubes to put in my champ. I powered down and inserted the missing tube and all it does is make an incredibly distored sound with almost no vo...

Re: Calling a mulligan on my express.
You might want to try a sheilded wire from the volume pot to the tube. Mine had extreme noise until I did that. Also you may want to put a weaker tube in v1 position. When I finished my amp a month ago I played for 5 minutes and almost though it in the garbage as it sounded that bad. I just picked i...

Has anyone tried tone slut trans in a marshall application
Just curious to see if this has been done and what the results were. I have the vintage express output 6.6k setup for el34s. It seems to be the same impedance as the ones I see for the marshall 50 watter so I figured it should work.

Re: New express build works, but volume pot doesnt
I thought I had a bad volume pot as it measured out of range while in the circuit. I removed it to measure and re-ran the connections to where they are in the photo. I found a bad ground connection on the resistor from tube 2 to ground. Everything is working now.

New express build works, but volume pot doesnt
I just finished my express build per schematic found here. Biased it to 34ma. Pluged in my guitar and immediately heard output with the volume all the way down. Turning the volume and the tone stack knobs all the way up have no effect on the sound. It stays at the same volume. The presense pot works...

Re: Rectified b+ too low
Thanks for the reply. I think I have it figured out. I forgot to mention that I am forming the caps. I did this 2 weeks ago for the first time on a jtm 45 and thought that the voltage going up slowly was due to the tube rectifier. I was wrong, the slow climb is due to the inline resistor. Also, I wa...

Rectified b+ too low
I just fired my express clone and i have a problem. I have 121 volt at the wall, 588v ac into the rectifying bridge and 265v dc coming out with no load attached. Would a problem with the center tap cause that? I'm using toneslut transformers.

Re: How hot does your 1k 25 watt resistor get?
This is my first trainwreck. I plan on using toneslut transformers, sprauge 716 caps, and cts pots (which I already had on hand). I toyed with the idea of adding some carbon comps in key places. From the clips I've heard, the amp is quite gainy and the noisy resitors may be just alittle too much so ...
