Re: If I want to build a Dumble amp : which one ?
This man is a very skilled amp builder, evidenced by his recent topics showcasing his work. I don't understand all the ruckus over a photoshopped picture which was obviously done for proof-of-concept purposes, not to misappropriate anybody's work. Seems to me this is the kind of guy who should be w...

Re: I think I bought a Dumble....
Yeah, I really think I did. :D It is a 62 brown Deluxe. It has been retolexed and whoever did it sure did a nice job on it. I do not want to post gut shots but in the spirit of the forum I will say that inside is pretty much stock and some caps are changed for orange drops. Speaker is an Oxford Aln...

Re: Dumble Amp Handles
Hello, I know that Erie Ball doesn't have them anymore but I thought Soldano did. I don't think it would be listed on their site. You may have to call them. CW C3 amps may sell that Soldano handle slightly cheaper. C3amps link Its not listed on the site though - other people have bought handles fro...

If its not bothering the guy it shouldn't be bothering you. If times so important as you say it is why are you wasting yours on it.
Guys got ripped - anyone who has can get along with that business as they please. I'd do it and not be bogged down or bitter, but thats the way I roll...

Re: Strange Dumble clone ?? (solved)
Thanks for posting the pics, Gil. 8) You're welcome. Looking at these old pictures, in the grand scheme of things they do not seem that different from the last amp I built still using all home-made circuit boards (what a pain that used to be!) which is shown below. Subsequent amps would look pretti...

Re: BEWARE
that's no proof it's fake, just based on the package size. Correct, just because you are not used to seeing the common 16x39mm size carried by most US distributors doesn't necessarily mean its fake, that is the stubby 18X30mm (part # 22050018030) 22uF/500V cap. Very little of what F&T makes is stoc...
