I'm no expert on Jamerson, but I believe he was known to favor the earlier circuit with the tonestack after first stage. The later preamp is brighter with more growl. I think the reissues have both preamps in them.

Both Larry's amp and #189 appear to have two stage OD unless something is different under the goop.

On further observation, both bass and mid pots appear connected to the trimpot. Curious...

IIRC the .0022 cap is shorted out in rock mode but the .022 cap remains and is a significant part of these early tonestacks.

minor note- according to the factory(?) schematic there appears to be a missing 1 Meg resistor between the coupling cap and gain pot in ic-racer's schem.

If I may add to this discussion, we know that #94, #123 and Ben Harper's Classic all have LNFB.
