Re: Bridged T Mid Control
I put an alternative form of the bridged-T in my 5F1 circuit as a test and I generally like it, but it is quirky. 1- It's very lossy. So it reduces gain and may need to be adjusted along with the volume control. I don't find this too problematic though. My use case is to tighten the sound to either ...

Re: Conductive circuit card
Had the same issue with my tweed Tremolux replica.
I intended to replace the board with G10 but never got around to it. Short-term solution? Took the input grid resistors off the board and into the tube socket directly:

Re: SE Rocket build - The Wrong Horse Amp
Many thanks, Niki.
I will definitely convert my existing head into a 1x10" combo and will use the opportunity to try the circuit.
It will take a few weeks before I can get started, but will be sure to post.
Cheers and thanks again!

Re: SE Rocket build - The Wrong Horse Amp
Many thanks, Niki. The 300v ballpark is good news.
Let me know if you get to measure this other amp.
Your clips do sound fantastic, by the way!

Re: SE Rocket build - The Wrong Horse Amp
Hello, Niki.
I built a Champ 5F1 many years ago and was looking to turn into something else and thought this might be appropriate, but with a 6V6 power. My PT can handle the added heater current for a second pre-amp tube.
Have you measured your power supply voltages?
Thanks!

I'm assuming 1MA for the pot. Is it right?
I'll give it a try...

Re: master volume on Princeton reverb
Reviving this thread. Can anyone explain the difference between tictac's schematic and this?
I was going to include VVR in my build but am now thinking of just having a MV to avoid the PÌ distorting and I think I like tictac's better.

Re: Robben and his Rig
Interesting piece. I liked the Jonny Lang as well. I agree... The eye opener is that many musicians aren't that hang up on the technical details of their gear and just go for whatever sounds good. From that interview, it seems he uses the green switched #102 and another that is made to be very simil...

Late reply, but perhaps useful:
Inkscape
Good software, freeware, Mac version available, saves .svg files which are supposedly imported by Illustrator. I'm not sure if it would fit BNP standards...
I gave up the expensive Corel for the free Inkscape and never looked back.

Re: Princeton Reverb: PPIMV or VVR
Thanks, guys. I think I'll go with the VVR, scaling the whole amp. I was pretty confident about the tremolo but unsure about the reverb. If it works, then why not VVR? (Don't really need reverb that much anyway, just a touch is more than enough. Haven't use any reverb for a while now...) I'll need t...

Princeton Reverb: PPIMV or VVR
Hi, folks. Subject says it all. I'm about to start a PR build (mostly from a Weber kit, Heyboer trafos + a few niceties) and wanted some control of overall volume. I was inclined for the VVR, but worry about the reverb. Maybe the PPIMV is simpler and works well enough? Bedroom player here, BTW. Curr...
