Re: Reassigning Deep to Footswitch
Is it HRM? I don't see any non HRM with the Deep circuit. Sorry again, I'm wasting everyone's time with lack or/incorrect info.... It is the standard Overtone, non HRM. I thought it was a deep switch because that's what the faceplate says it is, but looking at the Ceriatone schematics, I think it's...

Reassigning Deep to Footswitch
Hi all I'm wanting to reassign the PAB footswitch function to switch the deep switch on/off. I'm pretty handy with a solder (done plenty of guitars/pedals) and know how to properly discharge caps, but am a little reluctant to start poking around in an amp - hence I'm probably going to get a tech to ...

Re: DIY Airbrake...
I just bent mine back a bit so that it presses real tight against the casing when the nut is tightened. seems to be working ok.
What I can't work out is how to attach the base plate - no predrilled/threaded holes or anthings. How has everyone else done it?

Hi All The speced Rheostat (mouser RJS150E) seems to have the following specs: - Ohms: 150 max - Watts: 50 - RMS Voltage: 750v Max - Current: .575A Max And the Shunt(L100J25E): - 100w - 2845v - 25 ohms Q1: doesn't .575A max for the Rheostat seem a little low? What sort of current typically flows fro...

Re: Redesigning the Airbrake
Thanks for the responses guys. Structo: there’s been quite a bit of discussion on boards about the impedence mismatch. The standard airbrake doesn’t present a consistent ohmage – it varies at different levels of attenuation (there’s a graph around that shows this). Apparently anything up to a 2:1 mi...

Redesigning the Airbrake
Hi all Have built a standard Airbrake and love it – to my ears it sounds much better and open than my hotplate – and it’s cheaper and lighter to boot! Thank you to everyone here for your help! Now, building the AB has got me thinking and the creative juices flowing: what I want to do now is build an...

Airbrake: More Attenuation on Bedroom Setting/Attaching Base
Hi all Anyone got any ideas for increasing the maximum attenuation on the Airbrake when on bedroom setting? At max, it's not enough for late night noodling..... Also (and this is a really stupid question), I've got the AG suggested Mouser aliminium box: could someone inform a noob how best to actual...

Re: Switchable Volume on Airbrake
Barry, just wondering, are those relays you're using on/on or on/off ? I'm assuming on/off as you've used two. If they were on/on you could get away with using just one right?

Re: Switchable Volume on Airbrake
Awesome, that makes perfect sense..... I've done a lot of tinkering and building over the years, but have never had occasion to tinker with relays.....so I'll do a little homework on the practicallities of how they work before I dive in. Napkin diagram would be great if you can be bothered, but plea...

Switchable Volume on Airbrake
Hi ya'll Just wondering whether it's possible and/or relatively easy to incorporate two footswitchable volumes into a DIY airbrake - switched with either a simple on/off footswitch, or a relay out like you find on many modern effects units? The issue I have is that once the amp is dimed and attenuat...

Airbrake and Cabinet Ohmage
Hi all
I've been searching for a while but can't seem to find a definitive answer to my question.
Is it correct that the airbrake will work with 4, 8 and 16 ohm cabs? All the stuff I've read seems to imply that it will.....
Thanks
