Re: 13 years?
I'm working on a tube backend for a Kemper. We are going to profile a Katana. The funny thing is that there is a guy on the Kemper forum who built a tube power section into the back of his Kemper. There is A LOT of humor in real life. Best to all of you. And great to hear the news regarding Tom!

Re: 13 years?
14 years for me. I got a lot great information from this site. I used to be logged on almost daily. I built about a dozen amps of different flavors using information from this site. It was a nice experience. Then tube prices shot up and I reached the conclusion that I didn't want to deal with those ...

Re: 13 years?
I joined in 2009 too. Bought some amps from fellow TAG members, built some amps, bought a Kemper and profiled said amps. Sold said amps. Made the decision to play more and futz with gear ALOT less. Enjoyed some good times here and had some good phone conversation with you Miles. I hope you are well...

It's kinda, but not quite, like the guy who stole a guitar from me and then brought it to me for repair.

Re: Cap job I did on a Bogner Shiva recently
What happened in this thread is interesting. From my perspective billyz wrote what was on his mind. He spoke his truth. Phil had a very civilized reaction and asked for constructive criticism. Good on Phil for not blowing up. I would have. :-) And billyz apologized. Nice. I agree with Phil. I would ...

Re: Site changes - Spam Reports, Etc Please use this thread
Phil, thanks for fixing TAG. And congrats on becoming a mod. Thanks for stepping up to a largely thankless position. Navigating TAG and finding info is a bit difficult. This is especially true for new users. This is typical for forums like this one. Lot's of great information, but hard to find. Any ...

Re: Site changes - Spam Reports, Etc Please use this thread
FYI. I did a search on the word "longhorn". The screenshot result is posted below. Notice that the thread heading is missing is some cases. Making it difficult to open the thread without jumping through hoops. I think this is a by-product of the version change?

Re: Site maintenance and downtime tomorrow at 10pm PST
Interesting I still have 'wasted' space on both sides. I've gone a bit wider, it seems I can go really wide without it scrolling on smaller monitors (that's the 'min' size not 'max' Let me know if you like the newer max width. Also, you may need to hit the forced refresh a couple times to get it to...

Re: 1967 "Fender" Double Bassmaster Custom Amp
I have speakers with similar magnets and frames. Eminence 12" that came in a 65 Super Reverb that had been baffle hacked. Mine sound like ass. I removed them a long time ago. Still sitting on a shelf gathering dust. I should toss them. I hope yours sound better.

Have you looked in the Dumble Files section? There is a lot of information here. A search works wonders.

Re: phpbb3 move and themes
User selectable sounds perfect because the color scheme is a rather large can of worms. I don't have data on a large sample of users. I only have my own personal data. My concern isn't the sharpness of focus. Mine is related to too many photons arriving at my eyeball for too long. I don't want my mo...
