Re: another Express type build
Marcus, I am sorry to read here of the death of your friend Alan Darby. May he rest in peace. I remember the YouTube video where he was on stage at the Crossroad Festival with all the musicians in the finale and with his (your) Express. Great sound. "Live’s short people …" You are right. I should fi...

Re: Express build: transformers in Europe? help
I agree with ChopSauce. „inMADout” in Italy make great Irons. In 2018 I ordered one PT Custom Wound with Express Specs from InMADout. Tube Town didn’t had Express Transformers in Stock at this time. As an OT I purchased a JTM Style also with Express Specs from Tube Town, also made for TT from InMADO...

Re: another Express type build

Great the Photo with the rig and I see some Firebirds around in the room. I can understand your friend, I have also one 76 Firebird. Sorry, no chance to go to Da...

Re: another Express type build
It's a great sounding amp this one, better than the first one i built, it has a chime/bite that i don't remember the first one having and it cleans up better too on the gtr volume. I'm tempted to make one for myself now, really enjoyed playing this today. With my dumble 1x12 classic lead 80 cab and...

A very good site with a lot of information about your work as a musician. And a fine layout. Great! Looks also good on a smartphone.

Yes Phil, that was mean as a compliment. Somtimes for me as a speaking German language guy it is not so easy to find the right words in english language.

Re: Enabling SSL- potential short outage
Phil, if you like I can give you a Rewrite Rule Script for a htaccess-file.
For my websites its works perfect. If you type ”http:…”, or only ”www. ampg…” or only ampgarage.com, it alwas give you a ”https://www.ampgarage.com” in the browser-URL-field.
Should work well with apache-servers.

Re: small mods to make an Express pedal friendly
Thanks rooster for this post. Maybe this is the solution for my problem with a little to much bass gain at the guitar volume pot neck humbucker from 8 to 10. I made a measurement at the bass potentiometer in my Express build and it has 1.117 M Log. I will try to order a new one with more exact value...

Re: Tone Stack Variations?
Does it make sense to build a fender tone stack behind a cathode follower? For example, as a replacement in an 18 watt TMB amplifier? For a better response?
