And don't forget Zakk Wylde.
He only uses EV's in his 4x12's. And his are even heavier than the normal type of EV's.

Re: Allyn Liverpool
This. Please? Hi All, Here is a new recording of a song using a Liverpool amp Allyn made. The artist is Caspar McCloud who Kenny made the prototype and Ginger for. It was Caspar's request for a different amp that caused Kenny to start building amps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8duSFT1zOyc Really ...

"DEEP" CLASS A
Excuse moi if this has already been discussed. But I recently found Blackie Pagano's website, an amp builder and repairman from NYC. And he states that "The dual 6550 / KT88’s are in a deep Class A operating point, with a relatively low voltage swing and very high current, running at their design ma...

Hi-Tone versus Reeves-what can you tell me about their cabs
Hello Folks,
My next cabinet purchase will be a 4x12 Hiwatt style.
I've come down to these two companies, Reeves and Hi-Tone.
Anybody here has any kind of experience with these two fine companies' cabs?
If you could share it here I'd be very grateful.

Re: I put a 12AT7 in the PI spot of my amp and...
Talk about coincidences! I had some free time today and did just this with my amp. While my amp isn't exactly a 'Wreck (it's an Alessandro Bloodhound), it's close enough for government work. Well, I didn't like the results. I was looking for a bit more headroom, and I found it, but along with a muff...

Unless you already have a cab that you really like / works for you.
What I have found, from hard earned experience, is that speakers are a bit like guitars. The same model will give you different results. If you have a cab that really works with your rig, try sticking to it.

Dana,
I'd like to have a peek too, but I can't visualize the pics. Did you post them in this thread?

Hey Plague,
Please post another shot of your rig. I happen to find the 'Wreck + Marshall cab combo a nice one, especially if it comes together with a nice Paul.

That's a great thread. What about some clippage showing the results of these different tubes in a Wreck circuit?
