What are the advantages to a stiffer power supply?

Is the PS the reason that the Rocket and Stangray power amp sections (which are very similiar on paper, for example) react differently?

Tone is ALWAYS a very subjective thing... one mans ‘creamy’ is another mans ‘muddy’. Our perception of tone molded, in part, by our subconscious, our listening habits, past experiences, technical abilities( ahem )... or lack of the afore mentioned technical abilities, ear fatigue, musical style, typ...

What's not too love about a curvaceous... (ahem) Strat?

I know of a local Blues hack who ONLY uses slides made from Kentucky Gold Bourbon bottle-necks. He swears that the glass used in the manufacturing of Kentucky Gold bottles "sounds the best"! Next time I'm with him, I will ask him if his slides are polarized... or if he uses the non-polarized variety...

I guess the sound of caps is not a big issue. LOL, tell that to a hi-fi guy and I hope you are wearing riot gear when you do! :lol: Actually, the sound of the cap is important as the sum of the parts makes up the overall tone of the amp.
