Abstinence makes the fart grow stronger?

Anyway, yeah, building a one-off amp from a recipe is only the first step! There will always be tweaking after the build is completed, whether to meet the tastes of the builder or the client.

Re: $600 fuse, anyone?

I got a good laugh because some of their photos are clearly off-the-shelf fuses with colorful stickers wrapped around them. Nice markup!

$600 fuse, anyone?

I clearly have been buying the wrong kinds of fuses.

https://www.kempelektroniksshop.nl/syne ... 6-3x32-mm/

The copy is so informative! I learned fuses are directional! The have a burn-in period! They will elevate my gear to the next "class"!

So much more!!!

Firmware is the best thing to happen to hardware since chrome plating. Who would have thunk the Helix I bought years ago would keep getting better and better?

Without a load (tubes), the B+ supply and following nodes (B+1, B+2, etc) does not drop to expected voltages, so there's no way to test what the final voltages are going to be. However, you can test to see if you've wired it correctly by powering it up (preferably with a bulb limiter, to prevent bur...
