I have been hearing the term "Modern Class A" being tossed around a lot lately can someone explain the diff between this and the common class a from decades ago?

BT123, The preamp looks like the typical Fender style found in the non-reverb models like the Deluxe. The phase inverter is more like the Brown face series, and the output stage is similar to a tweed class a cathode biased amp. A couple shots of the transformers would be nice. If you could make note of the transformer numbers that would be way cool, and much appreciated.

I'm working on a 6AK6 push-pull project, and I am looking for suggestions on output transformers. I believe s2 used a Mercury, and I have found no info on the Dynotweed OT. I am also seeing 5k to 20k being used. What have you had luck with?
