Deep switch question

I've been playing around with my friend's Ceriatone HRM 100 for a few weeks now and had a question about the affect of the deep switch. Background: I play a Strat - rosewood board, Lollar Special S pickups - which I happen to be loving with this amp. My question is about what the deep switch is doin...

A Different John Mayer Rig?

Saw this on TGP and thought I'd share it here. Alternate Mayer rig? Two ODS combos and a head of some kind just out of the shot. Maybe his SSS?

Re: indigo amps

I clicked on that link, anxious to see what Indigo Amps was all about. Then I forgot what the video was about until about 1:30 in.

Re: Clapton's Dumble On the Bandstand

Pretty sure that this is the amp in question. Looks like the serial number might be 3-- something.

Re: Clapton's Dumble On the Bandstand

A friend of an acquaintance was the owner of said Dumble. He had it on consignment at Gruhn Guitars. Supposedly it belonged to Eric Johnson.

Re: GREAT Dumble being played w/Dumble cab

That's at Guitar Exchange in Catonsville, MD. I played that Dumble, #115. According to Max, it's one of a pair of amps that are identical and voiced for a maple neck Strat player. I played my rosewood Strat when I demo'd the amp. The clean channel wouldn't break up at all, even on 10. The overdrive ...

Re: 123 Schematic

I played #115, the sister amp to #123 and can confirm that it was absolutely clean all the way up on the clean channel. I was playing a rosewood Strat. There was a slight amount of grit with the PAB on, but otherwise clean no matter how the amp was set. I can't recall how much the input volume affec...

Looks like the Bludo Universal Tone.

Re: New ReleaSSSes

Looks like a 250K mid pot and 500K bass pot, which differs from both SSS schematics recently posted here. FWIW, those who posted said that errors were possible. They could also be changes made by Nick.

New ReleaSSSes

I guess the SSS #2 schematic was able to be had by those in the loop.

Re: Ceriatone SSS Clips

Stevie-Ray's SSS was very atypical. He wanted a dumbleland like JB's but HAD didn't make dumblelands anymore, that's why SRV's is "more like a bass amp" and a SSS in name only though there are similarities among the high power amps. This is what a steel string singer is really supposed to sound lik...

Re: Ceriatone SSS Clips

Is Nicky at the Ceriatone factory? Also I didn't think the SSS had overdrive? Right. I just meant that he had it sufficiently cranked into overdrive. Hopefully it will do those Larry Carlton "Renegade Gentleman" tones. The Ceriatone sounds like it may with the right guitar. Moroch seems to like it,...
