Re: Fender Bassman 50 with Master Volume
Thanks Martin. Don't know if I will cnovert to fixed bias (easier) or use your balanced bias then add the LarMar PPIMV, but your direction is greatly appreciated and I'll be able to finish the amp and get it to my buddies dad this weekend!

Re: Fender Bassman 50 with Master Volume
Hey Guys, working on a friends dads 1965 Bassman that was sick. Got it all working again, but he requested a Master Volume. It has this balanced thing going on as this original poster mentioned. I want to add the PPIMV, however with 5 pages, it was not 100% crystal clear how to hook it up as no real...

Silvertone 1482
Anyone have or know where I can find a layout for this amp? I'd like to build one up, don't want a rats nest and PTP and also don't want to recreate the wheel! Thanks in advance.

Re: Q: Voicing
Thanks for everyone's support. I keep getting sidetracked with other new builds, but still in monitoring this! A couple notes...the amp is still currently stock as designed, I find the G12H30-70th Anniversary very flat and not a bright speaker at all, I am and have been using a 40'cable over the las...

Re: Airbrake Enclosure Alternative
hey appreciate the feedback, of course I could use just about anything, but looking for something looks good to most and more commercial. I was thinking maybe some extruded boxes. They're aluminum and usually finned and thought maybe use one of those gold colored ballast wirewound and some thermal c...

Airbrake Enclosure Alternative
Hey guys I'm looking for alternatives for airbrake enclosures besides what is the int forum BOM...maybe an extruded enclosure. In any event, I'm looking for something "vented" and have come up empty-handed! This will be the full brake with rheostat. Please let me know and thanks in advance. Equinox

Re: Q: Voicing
Wow, 1 year and and crap load of amps later and I'm back into this! I never did get around to check out the tone stack, but getting ready to R&D it! I hope it's a winner as the TSC shows! I ended up keeping the Express stock after all this time! Bright switch stayed in and only check out the differe...

Re: Beginners Guide to Signal Troubleshooting
Holy crap Dorrisant that's insane IMHO! Ok, what I did was use a small computer I did and free signal generator software. I have a Fluke 123 2-channel oscilloscope. I injected the signal into the input and just followed it through the circuit running onto the grid of the valve when applicable and ou...

Beginners Guide to Signal Troubleshooting
Ok, not sure if this has come up or not, but I think it's a great thread for newbies and everyone. Ok, the situation is this...an amplifier and basically voltages are good, there is output to the speaker, it's biased, but no signal. How would one go about diagnosing where the signal is getting lost?...

Is there any clips of the amp and just the amp straight in, no pedals, fx, or encompanyiment?
