That Mercury Magnetics will probably sound great. I personally, along with others, think that MM transformers have a little more high fi sound to them than other transformers e.g vintage or Heyboer.

I had two Quinn SDQs. A mix between 183 and 102. I know one came with a Heyboer JCM800 output transformer.

FYI Quinn actually worked on the 183 (and built direct clones).

Blackface, tweed cleans are my style.

My 102, 183, Tweedle Dee cleans are too middy at mid-low volume on neck pickups.

Back for sale at $89k. Lower price as Dumble's have risen in price in recent years...
