Re: Liverpool: signal although volume closed?
all I can think is that your volume pot isnt grounded well or the treble caps for the bright switch are weird? Ive never had that happen before and cant think of what else would cause that. gut shots would help. These guys on here spot a lot of stuff from those. Hi res i s best.

Re: FX Loop
Just put the 47k 1k divider on my ext speaker jack. Works awesome! Thank you for the help. I used my vox tone lab for fx, which doesnt have a dry kill, but even still it works great. the guitar tone from the other amp isnt horrible either. Its just a peavy transtube but it works. I have to turn the ...

Re: FX Loop
Good info! Thanks! I am putting my wet dry rig together today. I am starting with my old peavey as the wetside. Its loud , clean and has a reverb. Probably work ok for now. Again, Thanks!

Re: Express Swirl
I have heard of attenuators doing this before. The only answer I know of is.....The Hall Amplification VVR. What a sweet invention that thing is. I scale the whole amp and it sounds sweet down to really low volumes. For what its worth.

this just gives an idea of how it sounds. Not going to save the world with it or anything but its better than nothing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuX5CIzCVVo seems to have left the tone unchanged in the amp

Re: reverb idea for an express / liverpool
I guess so. I didnt even know they existed. After some study I see this is an old concept with mixed results. I just figure since the express and liverpool seem to only like speaker driven effects etc. tha this is the way to start. It will work with this scenario, the signals just need to be reintro...

reverb idea for an express / liverpool
I dont know if this would work but i had a thought ( danger....DANGER!!!) ok, could one take a lead from the speaker jack and run it into a series resistor ( unknown value. 100k ish?) and or voltage divider and then into a reverb tank and recovery stage then into the extra triode of an express/liver...

Cathode biased 6v6's with liverpool/express type preamp. very fun little amp. I call it an 18 watt but I have no idea how many watts it is in real life. Using a power supply that starts at 330v at the plates much like the liverpool. Needs the Hall vvr still.

Re: Funny thing happened at the gig last night?
I had this problem once not to long ago. It was a clod or bad connected solder in my heater circuit. I would check that first. It was a problem that only happened once in awhile. The wire was in the pin and touching, and even looked soldered, but wasnt. Solid wire. Hope its that easy for you to find...
