Beautiful amp, Ian. Very inspirational. I like the flip cover power switch as well. Make me think I should do a pre-flight safety check...

I don't think anyone is saying they are not nice, but until they get rid of that government of theirs they can't be trusted. Please tell me you haven't forgotten tiananmen square? the very same people are in power. Anyway I'm going on too much. I wish America all the best, and agree with Rob that on...

Re: Food for thought
In australia all the revenue from income tax pays one bill, Social Security. Everything else is hidden taxes. They reckon' we pay 80 cents in the dollar tax, once you take all the charges and hidden BS from local council up to Canberra. America spent alot of it's oil wealth on making itself comforta...

I used to sit and play 'still got the blues' when I was just learning as a kid. Such a powerful song and lyric.
See you in the next one Gary.

We need to adopt the Chinese method of dealing with Mexican drug gangs. Whatever they do, it works! :o We must learn this secret, and more poison cat food, please! I use it for gopher control. I have been using Chinese toothpaste instead. Looks terrible all over the yard.. scattered with gopher bod...

Re: Food for thought
I'm going to go out on a limb here and risk offending, but I have a theory about our western culture. Whether our countries survive like they are or, like dynaman pointed out, loose their empires like the British did, our culture is still the most advanced. Why? Because we care about the individual ...

Re: Food for thought
Basically, we have devalued the dollar to an extent that it is near worthless. Since we print the money that the world economy is based on and print more when we want more, plus we being the biggest debtor nation in the world is going to make those holding loans (China) want payment when they reali...

Wow, great job. I used to have one of these amps, loved it. Don't miss it as much now that I've seen what you had to go through to fix it up!!. Member Selloutrr was educating me about these the other day, mostly bassman/JTM45 clone; I'm going to be studying those photos of yours now!!. Thanks for po...

Re: Multi-amp setups
Hi Mate, I used to use 2 mid 80's roland cubes in a stereo set up. One was 100 watt the other 60. I would set the larger one to a more bass heavy sound and the small one to treble. Because I was in a funk outfit at the time, I was the defacto 'keyboard player' i.e I was using alot of rotary speaker ...

Re: Filter Cap for Traynor Darkhorse please.(old thread renamed)
(I've renamed my original thread here to keep it all together) OK, I haven't bought any spare tubes to see if they are the problem, but I want to look at this anyway, as the amp has a rep for hum and these filters may well be the problem. ATM it has 450v 22uf caps in the filtering positions as you c...
